Marcello Khan
Marcello Khan is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Convergence Capital Management, where he leads the company’s investments, strategic direction, operations, and investor relations. Marcello has over $7 billion of closed transaction experience in aggregate.
During Marcello's former role as Vice President at Woodridge Capital Partners, he was responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, asset management, and financing, completing over $3.4 billion in transaction volume. Marcello worked on a broad spectrum of deals, ranging from low-rise multifamily assets to multi-billion dollar mixed-use projects.
Prior to Woodridge, Marcello had a leading role in originating over $3.6 billion in financing on commercial real estate assets at PGIM Real Estate (formerly Prudential Mortgage Capital), which spanned across multiple debt platforms, geographies, and property types.
Marcello graduated cum laude from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California with a dual concentration in real estate finance and development. Marcello is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of California.
Michael Kianmahd
Michael Kianmahd is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Convergence Capital Management, where he is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and investor relations.
Michael brings over $1.6 billion of commercial real estate transaction experience in his former role as an underwriter with JP Morgan Real Estate Banking, where he helped underwrite and close new loan commitments to institutional borrowers with facility types including term, construction, and unsecured lines of credit. Michael also serves as CEO of Maxim Commercial Capital, a specialty finance company, where he is responsible for the firm’s overall corporate development and operations.
Michael graduated cum laude from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California with a concentration in Real Estate Finance.
Behzad Kianmahd
Behzad Kianmahd is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Convergence Capital Management.
He has over 30 years of real estate transaction experience, including property acquisition, development, lending, and note portfolio acquisition. In total, Behzad has been a principal in the development, acquisition, or disposition of real estate assets with an aggregate value of over $275 million.
Behzad additionally serves as Chairman and CEO of a specialty finance company (Maxim Commercial Capital), President of a diversified investment management company (Axiom Investment & Management), Chairman of a collaborative workspace provider (Cross Campus), and Co-Founder of a venture capital firm co-managed by Tel Aviv University (TAU Ventures). Over the past 20 years, Behzad has founded over 12 businesses internationally in industries including manufacturing, wholesaling, retail, energy, biotechnology, structured finance, and consumer products.
Behzad has served on the board of directors of several non-profit and community organizations in Los Angeles.
